The Garden of Constants
I don't spend a lot of time at OSU because I don't live on campus. But when I am here, I spend most of my time by the Numbers. Most of my classes are right next to here, so it's just easy for me to hang out in between my classes here. The numbers are just so random to me, I feel like they aren't supposed to be there but it's just right. The numbers are big and scattered all over the grass. At first I thought the garden was missing a few numbers, but turns out a couple of them are laying down, like the number 8 and number 6 (which you don't see in the picture). Also, numbers : 1, 4, 6, and 8 are different colors from 2, 3, 5, and 7. I don't know why that is, but it makes it very unique. I feel that people are encouraged to interact within this space for the same reason I am, it's close to most of our classes.
I frequently walk by the numbers on my way to class, but I never really take a good look at them. It is interesting for me that you chose this, because it made me think about something that I never really paid much attention to. I never realized that they were specific colors or that some were laying face down. I'll remember to look more closely at them next time I pass by.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I just walked by one day before class and just stopped to look at them. Then I thought to myself, where are the other numbers?! Then I took a closer look and a couple of them were laying down on the ground. It was just totally random. :)
